We are looking for groups of volunteers to help us in this endeavor. On April 22nd, we will be working in the Far South and Southeast Side neighborhoods to help repair homes. Your group can be varied in their skill set – everything from cleaning, painting, and minor repairs all the way to carpentry skills such as putting in a new door or window. This is a great opportunity to work together on a project that can be completed in one day, April 22nd. All materials and tools are provided.
Again, skills needed range from basic to skilled. All we require is enthusiasm and grit. Volunteers under 18 need to be accompanied by a parent, guardian or other group supervisor. The day starts at 8:30am and usually ends around 4pm. A boxed lunch is provided at no cost. Rebuilding Together day is a day of hard work with the reward of a great feeling of helping others when the day is done.
Please feel free to email Rebuilding Together at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 574-289-1066 ext. 214. Want a Rebuilding Together volunteer to come to speak to your group? Let us know when and where at the same email address above. We will make arrangements.
We hope you can assist us this year. The need is great and the more hands that help, the more that can be done. Please let us hear from you by March 31, 2017 so we can plan accordingly.
PS: Can’t volunteer? Rebuilding Together gladly accepts material and monetary donations as well.
