HELP YOUR NEIGHBORS TODAY

DONATE NOW

Everyone should have a safe place to call home. Due to this challenging year, we are very aware of the many neighbors in South Bend who still need our help to ensure their home is a healthy and safe place to stay. Because of partners like you, so many of our neighbors have been able to stay in their homes safely – but there is still a huge need in our community.

Rebuilding Together St Joseph County serves our most vulnerable populations, including older adults and people with disabilities, and is often the primary resource delivering emergency home repairs to these individuals. We know our work makes a difference, because the impact on the neighbors we serve has been proven to improve safety, physical health, mental health, independence, upward mobility, and community connection.

>> Nearly two-thirds of neighbors who reported their health was less than good prior to repairs said their health improved after the repairs were completed
>> Almost nine in ten of the most stressed neighbors served feel less stress about home repairs and maintenance
Nine in ten neighbors who received repairs now plan to age in place
>> Three in five neighbors who received repairs say their homes are more valuable as an asset
>> Neighbors reported an increased ability to pay for daily necessities
>> More than a quarter felt an increased connection within their community
>> The majority of neighbors expressed feeling increased pride in their home

HOUSE SPONSORSHIPS

A house sponsor underwrites all repair costs at one of the rehabilitated homes. Sponsorships are offered at $5,000. Employees of a business or organization that sponsors a house often volunteer at the sponsored home on Community Volunteer Day. A house sponsor’s commitment is recognized with a yard sign at the home that day, logo placement on Community Day T-shirts, the Rebuilding Together local website, and any RT marketing materials.

Rebuilding Together accepts supply donations, including yard tools (rakes, shovels, small hand and power tools), ladders, sawhorses, wheelbarrows, paint supplies (brushes, rollers, paint trays, and drop cloths), and cleaning supplies (household cleaners and paper towels).
